Nominated for Material exploration and aesthetic experience at AHO Works. This project explores augmented reality (AR) from a designer’s perspective, focusing on its potential for hands-on, engaging learning. Through a possibility-driven process, we tested various AR technologies and chose to experiment with projection-based AR combined with oil-based clay. This unique blend offers new, interactive, and enjoyable ways to explore complex topics. We developed three speculative exercises for middle school students that make learning about cell structure more engaging and memorable. The potential, however, goes far beyond biology. This approach is highly adaptable—it can be applied to any subject, customized for all age groups, and adjusted to different levels of difficulty.
